Academic Achievements
  • Published works in top-tier conferences and journals such as ICRA, IROS, CVPR, IJRR, TRO, RAL. Organized the Cooperative Aerial Inspection Challenge at CDC 2023. Co-organizer of the UG2+ Challenge on UAV Tracking and Pose Estimation at CVPR 2024. Taught a 6-credit PhD-level course titled 'Optimization Based Localization and Mapping' at RPL, KTH.
Research Experience
  • Awarded the Wallenberg-NTU Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship from 2020-2023, conducting research stints at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. First year under the mentorship of Ph.D. supervisor, Professor Xie Lihua. From 2022-2023, worked with Professor Patric Jensfelt's team at KTH, engaging in numerous collaborations across Sweden and Europe.

  • B.Eng (Honors) from Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (VNU-HCMUT) in 2014, majoring in Automation and Control. Ph.D. from School of EEE, NTU in 2020, with the Best Thesis Award for 'Ranging-Based Adaptive Navigation for Autonomous Micro Aerial Vehicles'.

Overview: Currently a Research Fellow (Assistant Professor rank) at CARTIN, with extensive experience on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).
