Published over 20 papers in IROS, ICRA, RA-L, RSS, IJRR, CVPR, and AAAI (12 first-author papers). Won the 2022 IEEE RA-L Best Paper Award (among 1,100 papers, only 5 selected). Won several international competition awards, such as 1st prize in HILTI SLAM Challenge’24 and ’23, 1st place in ICRA NSS SLAM Challenge (2024). Participated in multiple international conferences and gave presentations.
Research Experience
Currently a postdoc at SPARK Lab, MIT (since April 2024). Previously worked as a postdoc at Urban Robotics Laboratory, KAIST, a visiting student at StachnissLab, University of Bonn, and a research intern at Naver Labs.
Education
Ph.D. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from KAIST (supervised by Prof. Hyun Myung), and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from KAIST.
Background
Research interests include, but are not limited to: SLAM using LiDAR, camera, or radar sensors, robust 3D point cloud registration, mobile robotics including autonomous vehicles, and all kinds of perception that help perceiving. Enthusiast of open source, enjoys open-sourcing his researches regarding robotics to help others.
