Research Experience
Head of the Physical Holistic Intelligence Lab at the Italian Institute of AI for Industry (AI4I); works on developing machine learning tools that allow robots to safely and smartly interact with their environment and humans; daily research involves investigating machine learning methods, robot control, differential geometry, and optimization.
Background
Passionate about machine learning and robotics; got excited about the future of AI and robotics while studying in Colombia; with the support of great mentors, he has been able to work on research and lead projects at the intersection of machine learning, differential geometry, control theory, and robotics; envisions a world where smart robots augment our capabilities at physical, cognitive, and social levels.
