Finalist for Best Application Paper at IROS 2024, nominated for Outstanding Young Researcher Paper Award at China Embodied AI Conference (CEAI) 2025, shortlisted for Youth Outstanding Paper Award at World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) 2025. Served as Area Chair or Senior Program Committee member for CVPR, NeurIPS, and AAAI conferences, and as Associate Editor of ICRA and Machine Intelligence Research. Received the MIR Outstanding Associate Editor Award. Led several open source projects, including Polar Research Station, TensorLayer, and OpenMLsys, and honored with multiple awards such as the Huawei Smart Base - Outstanding Contribution Award by the Ministry of Education in 2021, Best Open Source Software Award at ACM Multimedia 2017, and two OpenI Outstanding Project Awards (in 2021 and 2022 respectively).
Research Experience
Currently a professor at the School of Computer Science and the Center for Frontier Computing Studies at Peking University, leading PKU-Hyperplane Lab and PKU-Agibot Joint Lab. Founded an AI-driven hardware startup between 2012 and 2015.
