His research interests include shape reconstruction and analysis, computer vision, image processing, deep learning of big geometric data, and computer graphics. In recent years, his interest has been in understanding machine learning, medical imaging, specifically computational oncology, precision medicine, optimization of solvers to problems with a geometric flavor, and applications of metric, spectral, Riemannian, and differential geometries.
