He has been a member of the RoCoCo lab at La Sapienza since November 2010; also a member of the Autonomous Intelligent Systems Lab at Freiburg University, headed by Wolfram Burgard, where he worked as a Post Doc since 2006.
Education
He received his M.Sc. degree in computer engineering from the University of Rome in 2001; he completed his Ph.D. under the supervision of Daniele Nardi at the Intelligent Systems Lab, University of Rome 'La Sapienza' in April 2006, with a thesis focused on SLAM using Rao-Blackwellized particle filters.
Background
His research interests lie in the areas of mobile robotics, particularly focusing on SLAM, localization, and path planning. He is a full professor at Sapienza University of Rome.
