Spent three summers as a research intern at Meta and Google.
Education
PhD in Computer Science from Washington State University, advised by Dr. Jana Doppa; Bachelors in Technology degree in Mathematics and Computing from Delhi Technological University.
Background
Research interests lie in the areas of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), focusing on advancing the foundations of AI/ML to solve challenging real-world problems. Specific topics include sequential decision-making under uncertainty (Bayesian optimization and reinforcement learning) in a data-efficient manner, and probabilistic modeling over combinatorial structured data in small supervised data settings. Applications include accelerating the discovery of nanoporous materials for sustainability applications (e.g., carbon capture and storage/separation of gases), accelerating the design of effective, safe, and low-cost drugs/vaccines, and designing high-performance and low-power hardware to overcome Moore’s law.
