Background
Currently an Assistant Professor at the Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences (GCCIS), Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). His research lies at the intersection of NLP and AI for Social Impact, particularly in multilingual, noisy, social media texts; polarization in the context of the current US political crisis; and auditing AI systems and platforms for unintended harms.
Miscellany
Has published three collections of poems, directed music for a New York theater play, occasionally dabbles in journalism and column-writing, and recently succeeded in swimming 50 meters underwater (a navy seal requirement).
