Research Experience
Involved in several research projects, including modeling common ground in conversations and understanding the role of implicit content in text.
Education
Fifth year PhD candidate at the University of Maryland, College Park, in the Department of Computer Science, under the supervision of Prof. Philip Resnik.
Background
Research interests include computational pragmatics and conversational AI, with a special focus on the role of implicit content. Current NLP methods focus too heavily on the surface form of text, but a large part of human communicative intent is implicit.
