- Published multiple papers such as 'SmartGD: A GAN-Based Graph Drawing Framework for Diverse Aesthetic Goals' (IEEE TVCG, 2023), 'What's in a name? Gender Classification of Names with Character Based ML Models' (ECML-PKDD 2021); Won the 2017 IEEE ICDM 10-Year Highest-Impact Paper Award; Demonstrated streamgraph drawing techniques at Eurovis 2016 which was rated as the best paper.
Research Experience
- Served as a Senior Manager of Applied Science at Amazon (2023-2024), leading a team to tackle complex problems in Amazon Search Advertising using AI, ML, NLP, and data science; Prior to that, was a Senior Director of Research at Yahoo! Research (2014-2023), overseeing a group of research scientists and engineers, developing and implementing AI, ML, NLP, data visualization, and security algorithms; Early in his career, conducted research and developed software at AT&T Labs, Wolfram Research, and Daresbury Laboratory.
