PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, supervised by Jitendra Malik in 2011; BTech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 2006.
Background
Professor with research interests in high-level visual recognition algorithms and AI applications for science, particularly in ecology and remote sensing. Currently, he is a professor at the Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences, UMass Amherst, and Co-Director of the Computer Vision Lab.
