Currently a professor in the Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Previously had a joint appointment at Mount Holyoke College.
Education
Received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Cornell University. Was a postdoc at Oregon State University, holding a National Science Foundation postdoctoral fellowship in Bioinformatics.
Background
Research interests include developing new Bayesian models and inference algorithms to solve a range of problems, especially in applied sciences; investigating practical and principled approaches for differentially private data analysis, such as synthetic data generation and statistical inference; using machine learning, AI, and statistics to solve problems in ecology and conservation, especially large-scale modeling of bird migration.
