Academic Achievements
- Has authored or co-authored over 33 refereed journal, magazine, and conference papers in reputable international journals and conferences. Served as a technical reviewer for many international journals and magazines, including IEEE Systems, Transactions on Multimedia, Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, and IEEE Communications Magazine. Recipient of the Graduate Student Research Award (GSRA) from Qatar National Research Fund for 2014-2018, and Best Paper Award from Wireless Telecommunications Symposium 2018, Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
Research Experience
- Worked as a Research Associate and Research Assistant at Qatar University from 2013 to 2014, and at Cairo University from 2009 to 2012. Currently, he is a Postdoctoral researcher at Politecnico di Torino.
Education
- Received his Ph.D. in 2018 from Politecnico di Torino; B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees with honors in Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering from Cairo University in 2009 and 2012, respectively.
Background
- Research interests include edge computing, machine learning analysis, blockchain, in-network processing, and resources optimization over wireless heterogeneous networks, sensor networks, smart-health systems, IoT applications, and vehicular networks.
