- Involved in several projects such as scalable vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication, modeling, control, and networking for CAVs.
- Developed OpenConvoy, a universal platform for real-world testing of cooperative driving systems.
- Built a small-scale cooperative vehicle platform (SCVP) for testing autonomous applications.
Research Experience
Currently an associate professor and director of CAVREL at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Central Florida, where he joined in August 2016. Leads a team of 9 graduate-level researchers.
Background
Research interests include networked systems and CPS, particularly in the areas of connected and autonomous vehicles, transportation safety, and energy efficiency.
