Won several prestigious awards including the CVPR Best Paper Award (Marr Prize Honorable Mention), ICPR Best Paper Award, ICIP Best Student Paper Award, and more. In IEEE ICRA 2024, the Mavis SLAM algorithm and system won the 1st place in the HILTI Visual SLAM Challenge. Published numerous top conference papers.
Research Experience
Full Professor in Computer Vision and Machine Learning at the Australian National University (ANU). Co-founding Chief Investigator for the Australia ARC Centre of Excellence for Robotic Vision ($42 million).
Education
Worked as a Research Fellow/Fellow with RSISE of ANU since 2003, under the supervision of Professor Richard Hartley for over two decades.
