- Received PhD from The University of Tokyo, and was affiliated with Australian National University, Imperial College London, and Utrecht University.

- Main research is in Artificial Intelligence, particularly in the areas of computer vision, deep learning, and generative AI. Currently Chief Scientist at ASUS and also an associate professor (on leave) at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore. Holds appointments with School of Computing, Institute of Data Science, and NUS Graduate School (NGS/ISEP).
