Academic Achievements
- Published two papers: 'DiffusionAct: Controllable Diffusion Autoencoder for One-shot Face Reenactment' and 'One-Shot Neural Face Reenactment via Finding Directions in GAN’s Latent Space', both in the International Journal of Computer Vision (IJCV).
Research Experience
- PhD research focused on facial analysis and manipulation. Before the PhD, worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for Research and Technology Hellas CERTH (Greece), focusing on 3D object inspection algorithms and object and face detection/tracking on videos.
Education
- Received PhD degree from the School of Computer Science and Mathematics of Kingston University of London (UK) in February 2024, under the supervision of Prof. Vasileios Argyriou and Prof. Georgios Tzimiropoulos. Obtained an Integrated Masters degree from the ECE Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), supervised by Prof. Anastasios Delopoulos.
Background
- Currently a researcher at Meta AI, working in the Behavioural Computing team on generative modeling and facial animation. Research interests include facial analysis and manipulation using Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) and Diffusion Probabilistic Models (DPMs).
