Education
PhD from UC Berkeley EECS, advised by Dan Klein; Undergraduate from Brown University, majoring in math and linguistics, advised by Ellie Pavlick.
Background
Research interests include natural language processing, computational cognitive science, linguistics, reinforcement learning, human-computer interaction, and AI safety. Main focus is on improving AI capabilities, such as building models that can learn efficiently from limited data, training models optimized to collaborate with humans, and explaining complex model behavior in a human-interpretable way.
