Research Experience
Worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Research Institute of the Hospital Vall d'Hebron (VHIR), supervised by Dr. Àlex Rovira; currently a Ramon y Cajal fellow at the University of Girona, continuing his career in medical imaging (also affiliated with Macquarie University, Woolcock Institute, and the University of Sydney).
Education
Obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Girona in 2009; obtained a Master's degree in Automation, Computation, and Systems from the same university in 2010; completed his PhD at the VICOROB group under the supervision of Dr. Xavier Lladó and Dr. Arnau Oliver.
Background
Research interests: computer vision, image processing, magnetic resonance imaging, lesion detection and segmentation, deep learning. Professional field: brain image analysis, especially the analysis of structural and functional information of adult and fetal brains (including multiple sclerosis, hearing loss, Alzheimer's disease, and tumor patients). Brief introduction: dedicated to developing new technologies and integrating them with previous research results of the team.
