Currently an Associate Professor with the School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence, Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China. Conducted research at UTS and Cardiff University.
Education
PhD student at UTS:QSI (also known as UTS:QCIS) of the University of Technology Sydney (UTS, Australia) from 2012 to 2017, supervised by Prof. Sanjiang Li. Visited Dr. Steven Schockaert at the School of Computer Science and Informatics of Cardiff University, the UK, in the second half of 2015. Obtained a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the College of Mathematics of Sichuan University, China, before coming to Australia.
Background
Research interests include Qualitative Spatial Representation and Reasoning (QSR), Clustering, Dimensionality Reduction, Topological Data Analysis, Artificial Intelligence, and applications involving qualitative spatial or temporal information (e.g., QSTR and GIS). Interested in coding and open source projects, especially those that help people to be more productive. Uses Java, Python, Matlab, Bash, Javascript, and HTML for programming. For research writing, uses Visual Studio Code with LaTeX Workshop.
