He has also served as the associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering and IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, and action editor for Neural Networks.

Currently, he is an associate professor at the School of Cyber Science and Technology, Shenzhen Campus of Sun Yat-sen University.
