Research Experience
Before joining Vanderbilt, served as a research scientist and principal investigator at HRL Laboratories in Malibu, CA, where he was the PI on the DARPA Learning with Less Labels (LwLL) program and Co-PI on the DARPA Lifelong Learning Machines (L2M) program.
Education
Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University; awarded the Bertucci Fellowship Award from the College of Engineering in 2014 and the Outstanding Dissertation Award from the Biomedical Engineering Department in 2015.

Research interests span applied mathematics, machine learning, and computer vision, with a particular focus on computational optimal transport and geometry. An Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Electrical and Computer Engineering at Vanderbilt University, leading the Machine Intelligence and Neural Technologies (MINT) Lab.
