Research Experience
- Currently a research scientist at Bytedance, working on building speech understanding systems. Before Bytedance, worked as a speech engineer at Kuaishou Technology, where he built large-scale automatic speech recognition systems to improve the content understanding and display for billion-user applications such as Kuaishou, Kwai, and Kuaiying.
Education
- Obtained Ph.D. from the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASIA) in 2021, under the supervision of Prof. Jianhua Tao; obtained bachelor's degree from China Agricultural University (CAU) in 2016.
Background
- Research interests include speech recognition, language modeling, and keyword spotting. Also interested in other applications and mechanisms of deep learning. The mid-term goal is to make machines better understand (or structuralize) multimedia data.
