- Conducted training and research periods in Vienna (2005, 2009, 2015) and Oxford (2014). Gave invited seminars at universities including Huddersfield, Klagenfurt, Potsdam, Helsinki, Mindanao State University, and University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines. Speaker at more than 50 oral presentations at scientific conferences, some as keynote speaker (ICTCS & CILC 2017, ASPOCP 2018 and 2021, JELIA 2023, TAASP 2023) and invited speaker (AIxIA 2008 and 2017, ECAI 2012, IJCAI 2016 and 2017).

- Graduated cum laude and obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Calabria.
Background
- Research Interests: Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, Combinatorial Search and Optimization, Logic Programming, Nonmonotonic Reasoning. Brief Introduction: Since February 2011, he has been working at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Calabria, serving as a PostDoc, Researcher, Associate Professor, and since October 2023, as Full Professor.

- Leads the LAIA lab (Laboratorio di Applicazioni dell'Intelligenza Artificiale, part of the SILA IR). Co-PI of the PRIN project PRODE 'Probabilistic Declarative Process Mining'. Involved in several projects, including PNRR projects FAIR 'Future AI Research', Tech4You 'Technologies for climate change adaptation and quality of life improvement', SERICS 'SEcurity and RIghts in the CyberSpace', POS projects CAL.HUB.RIA and RADIOAMICA, and the STROKE 5.0 project.
