Published several research papers on topics such as authentication frameworks for wireless sensor networks, security protocols using identity-based signatures, etc.; holds multiple patents related to securing outside-vehicle communication, computing escrow session keys, charging authentication methods, fault diagnostic methods, and intrusion monitoring systems.
Research Experience
Currently a Research Scientist at the CyberSaR Lab in KAUST. Before joining KAUST, she worked as a researcher in Automotive Cybersecurity and Resilience at Huawei International. Prior to that, she served as a lecturer at the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and later as an assistant professor at Mirpur University of Science and Technology in Pakistan. She also had a short postdoc experience from the University of Padova, Italy.
Background
Her research interests include security and privacy protocols, applied cryptography, AI for anomaly detection, and connected and autonomous vehicle security. At CyberSaR, she investigates system Cyber Security and Resilience in areas like connected and autonomous vehicles, and New Space.
