Academic Achievements
  • Developed tools such as ARIsTEO, CHIA, EPIcuRus, etc., which are used for generating faulty test inputs for compute-intensive cyber-physical models, supporting developers in iterative top-down development of state machines, among others. Published 'Foundations of Software Engineering' at ESEC/SIGSOFT FSE 2020 conference.
Research Experience
  • Postdoctoral Researcher at University of Gothenburg from 2017 to 2018; Research Associate at Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust, University of Luxembourg from 2018 to 2021; Assistant Professor at McMaster University from 2021 to 2022; currently an Assistant Professor at University of Bergamo and Adjunct Professor at McMaster University. Led research projects with four industry partners: BOSCH and PAL Robotics (robotics), LuxSpace and QRA Corp (aerospace and cyber-physical).
Education
  • Received PhD in Informatics from Politecnico di Milano in 2015, supervised by Prof. Carlo Ghezzi; MSc in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2012; BSc in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2010.
Background
  • Research interests lie in the fields of formal methods and software engineering, with a particular focus on cyber-physical systems, robotics, and formal verification. Has spent several years conducting research with industry, applying formal methods and software engineering techniques in real-world and industrial contexts.
