Conducts research combining signal processing theory with geometric deep learning to design principled, tractable, and reliable AI methods, working with a team of Ph.D. students and collaborators.
Research Experience
Currently an Associate Professor at Delft University of Technology and co-founder of AIdroLab, researching fundamental and applied graph-based data processing for water networks and flood modeling.
Education
Ph.D. from Delft University of Technology (Advisor: Prof. Geert Leus); Postdoc at the University of Pennsylvania (Advisor: Prof. Alejandro Ribeiro); Master's and Bachelor's degrees from the University of Perugia (Advisor: Prof. Paolo Banelli).
Background
Associate Professor of graph machine learning, focusing on the role of structure in relational data, with an emphasis on analyzing, processing, and learning from the information in such structures, ultimately bringing AI techniques closer to critical infrastructure networks.
