Academic Achievements
  • Has been qualified as a Full Professor in Computer Science since 2018 and in Computer Engineering since 2023; serves as the president of the board of directors for the User Modeling community UM Inc., which also acts as a steering committee for the ACM Conference Series 'User Modeling, Adaptation and Personalization' (UMAP); is an editorial board member of several journals including UMUAI and Behaviour & Information Technology; has been part of the program committees for numerous international conferences and workshops; has guest-edited special issues for journals such as ACM Transactions on Intelligent Interactive Systems and International Journal of Human-Computer Studies.
Research Experience
  • Visited Prof. Alfred Kobsa at the Institute for Software Research, University of California, Irvine, from January to March 2002; held a temporary researcher position at the Department of Computer Science, University of Torino, from 2003 to 2005; served as an assistant professor at the Department of Computer Science, University of Torino, and the School of Multimedia and Arts from 2005 to 2015; currently an associate professor and Deputy Head of Department for technology transfer and public engagement at the Department of Computer Science, University of Torino.
