Research Experience
Currently a professor at the Faculty of Letters, Federal University of Minas Gerais, leading the ADA: Computational Linguistics Center. Was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Portland State University (2023), a fellow of the 4th Intercontinental Academia (2021-2022), and a visiting researcher at the Max-Planck-Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology (2014-2015).
Research interests include: brain-computer interfaces, human-machine interaction, computational historical linguistics, computational forensic linguistics, and computer-mediated communication. Also teaches and conducts research in Italian and applied linguistics.
