Background
Research focuses on developing novel statistical methods, such as functional data analysis with applications in biosciences and distributional data analysis methods for modeling wearable data. Other research interests and expertise include survival analysis, longitudinal data analysis, variable selection, machine learning, nonparametric regression, shape-restricted regression, and Bayesian inference. Also interested in applied research that identifies clinically relevant patterns from continuously monitored data, such as physical activity and sleep from wearable devices or blood glucose from CGM devices.
Miscellany
Originally from Uttarpara, a small suburb near Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Open to collaboration with students from South Carolina, USA, and India for projects in Statistics or Biostatistics.
