Currently an associate professor in the Department of Statistics at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU); Formerly an assistant professor in the Department of Statistics at Inha University; Postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics at The University of Notre Dame, working with Prof. Lizhen Lin.
Education
Received Ph.D. in Statistics from Seoul National University, under the guidance of Prof. Jaeyong Lee; Obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University.
Background
Research interests broadly lie in the theory, methodology and application of Bayesian statistics. Worked on high-dimensional mean and covariance estimations, semi-parametric Bayesian models, differential equation models, and sequential Monte Carlo methods. Currently interested in developing scalable Bayesian methods for large-scale datasets and deriving their theoretical properties.
