Research Experience
  • Currently an associate professor in the Department of Statistics at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU); Formerly an assistant professor in the Department of Statistics at Inha University; Postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics at The University of Notre Dame, working with Prof. Lizhen Lin.
Education
  • Received Ph.D. in Statistics from Seoul National University, under the guidance of Prof. Jaeyong Lee; Obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University.
Background
  • Research interests broadly lie in the theory, methodology and application of Bayesian statistics. Worked on high-dimensional mean and covariance estimations, semi-parametric Bayesian models, differential equation models, and sequential Monte Carlo methods. Currently interested in developing scalable Bayesian methods for large-scale datasets and deriving their theoretical properties.
