Published several papers including SWE-Search, Generalization v.s. Memorization: Tracing Language Models’ Capabilities Back to Pretraining Data, and presented at multiple international conferences.
Research Experience
Interned at Leela AI, working on multi-agent reinforcement learning. Leads the development of Calibrex, a product aiming to democratize data-driven resistance training.
Education
PhD Student, Computer Science, University of California, Santa Barbara; Co-advised by Dr. William Wang (CS, UCSB NLP Group) and Dr. Spencer LaVere Smith (SLAB Neuroscience & Neuroengineering Lab).
Background
While studying Physics at the University of California, Santa Barbara, became interested in the connection between biological and artificial intelligence. Current research focuses include open-ended systems, bio-inspired and cognitive approaches to machine learning, and understanding fundamental principles that enable complex skills in Large Language Models.
