Published multiple papers in top-tier conferences and journals such as NeurIPS, UIST, ICCV, TPAMI, IJCV, etc. Served as an Area Chair for ACM Multimedia 2023 and received funding from the Australian Research Council for a project.
Research Experience
From July 2019 to April 2023, he was a lecturer (assistant professor) with the School of Computing and Information Technology at the University of Wollongong. Prior to joining UOW, he was a research fellow with the Australian Institute for Machine Learning (AIML), The University of Adelaide.

He obtained his PhD from the School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, The University of Queensland.
Background
Peng Wang is a professor with the School of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). His research interests broadly span artificial intelligence, with current work focusing on the theory and applications of large foundation models, particularly multimodal reasoning in MLLMs, efficient post-training of LLMs, and their applications in the medical and healthcare domains.
