Research Experience
Lecturer in Healthcare Technologies at the School of Computing Science, University of Glasgow. Previous work includes designing digital aids to promote safe walking for people with dementia, designing and deploying in-home monitoring systems for older adults that respect privacy, and examining barriers to using assistive technology for various groups.
Background
Research interests include human-computer interaction (HCI), focusing on digital health and wellbeing. Interested in collaborative and social elements of healthcare, empowering marginalized groups through participatory action research and making, and working with people living with various cognitive impairments. Current research focuses on helping people make their own technology while living with cognitive challenges like acquired brain injuries.
