Research Experience
Currently a tenure-track assistant professor at College of Computing and Data Science (CCDS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), leading the Visualization and Intelligent Data Analytics Lab (VIDA Lab). He was an assistant professor at the School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS), Singapore Management University (SMU) from 2020 to 2024.
Education
Received his PhD degree in computer science from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), under the supervision of Prof. Huamin Qu; obtained B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) and Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), respectively.
Background
Major research interests include Data Visualization, Human-computer Interaction, Human-AI Collaboration, and Explainable Artificial Intelligence. His research goal is to develop cutting-edge Information Visualization techniques and Interactive Visual Analytics systems to facilitate big data exploration and analytics. His research has been applied in different domains including quantum computing, Fintech, online learning, and smart manufacturing.
