- Presented “InTouch: Rethinking Annotation and Note-taking in Tactile Graphics and Visualizations” and “Designing Visualization Widgets for Tangible Data Exploration: A Systematic Review” at IEEE in November 2025.
- Presented “ArtifactShow: Incorporating Generative AI into Narrative Visualization for Interactive Cultural Experience” and “Mozualization: Crafting Music and Visual Representation with Multimodal AI” at ACM CHI in May 2025, and won a Best Paper Award.

Obtained a PhD in Scientific Visualization and Computer Graphics (SVCG) from the University of Groningen in 2013.

Associate Professor in the Department of Computing at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), China, leading the Interactive Visual Technologies Research Group and the Spatial Interaction and Immersive Visualization Laboratory (VIIS Lab). Research interests include immersive visualization, human-computer interaction, and extended reality.
