Academic Achievements
- Recent areas of interest include blockchains, cryptocurrency, and smart contracts, as well as applied cryptography, user authentication, and privacy. Author of two novels: The Oracle (Talos Press, 2024) and Tetraktys (Emerald Bay Books, 2009). Supervised several PhD students and visiting scientists.
Research Experience
- Served as the Chief Scientist of RSA, Director of RSA Laboratories, and a Distinguished Engineer at EMC (now Dell EMC) until 2013.

- Received his Ph.D. in computer science from U.C. Berkeley.
