Resume (English only)
Academic Achievements
  • CV and list of publications available here. Gave a presentation in Spring 2017 at ICTS in Bangalore about light curve classification with supervised learning.
Research Experience
  • Staff astrophysicist at the Chandra X-Ray Science Center and deputy end-to-end scientist for NASA's Chandra Space Observatory Data System. Based at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.
Education
  • PhD obtained in 2012 at Leiden Observatory.
Background
  • Staff astrophysicist with research interests in star formation in galaxies and the evolution of the star formation history. Specifically, interested in the physical characterization of the Main Sequence of star-forming galaxies from the study of the internal conditions of the ISM. Uses multi-wavelength photometry, mid-infrared spectroscopy, Bayesian techniques, and SED fitting to link global properties of starbursts with the internal physics of their star-forming regions. Interested in time domain astronomy, part of the LSST TVS science collaboration, working on machine-learning algorithms for light curve classification. Also interested in infrared astronomical instrumentation, scientific outreach, and education.
Miscellany
  • Interested in infrared astronomical instrumentation, scientific outreach, and education.
