Recipient of an annual grant of excellence research from the French Government since 2006; co-authored numerous original journal and proceeding articles; member of different Committees of IEEE-IPTA Conferences since 2012; co-edited two Special Sections on Driven Visual Information and Advances in Computational Intelligence for Multimodal Biomedical Imaging; chaired and organized the IEEE-IPTA Conference in 2015; organized the TCB-Challenge in conjunction with and support of IEEE-ISBI in 2014.
Research Experience
Principal investigator for several research projects in image & signal processing; supervised over 20 PhD and Master students; spent the academic year 1998 as a visiting professor at the Electrical Engineering Department of the University of Rhode Island (USA).

Received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Orleans (France), focusing on modeling of fractal textures with applications to bone microarchitecture analysis.
