Published multiple papers in journals and conferences such as AAAI 2025, IJCAI 2025, Artificial Intelligence Review, IEEE TIFS, and ICLR. Awarded an Individual Research Grant from the Royal Society. Involved in several research projects, including CRoCS: Certified Robust and Scalable Autonomous Operation in Cyber Space (Co-I) and EnnCore: End-to-End Conceptual Guarding of Neural Architectures (Research Assistant).
Research Experience
Currently a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Exeter. Previously, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Trustworthy Autonomous Cyber-Physical Systems (TACPS) Lab at the University of Liverpool, supervised by Prof. Xiaowei Huang.
Education
PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Lancaster University, supervised by Dr. Wenjie Ruan, Dr. Leandro Soriano Marcolino, and Prof. Qiang Ni.
Background
Research interests include robustness evaluation of Deep Neural Networks (DNNs), specifically safety testing, adversarial attacks and defenses, and robustness verification. His research spans multiple modalities including image classifiers, video recognition models, 3D point cloud models, reinforcement learning, and large language models.
