Academic Achievements
Led (completed) 4 National Natural Science Foundation projects, Guangdong Major Science and Technology Special Projects, Guangdong Outstanding Young Scientist Fund, key international cooperation projects in Guangdong, and more than 10 key and foundational technology breakthrough projects in Shenzhen. Published over 100 SCI papers in renowned journals such as IEEE Trans. Image Process., IEEE Trans. Circuits Syst. Video Technol., IEEE Trans. Broadcast., IEEE Trans. Multimedia, IEEE Trans. Indust. Informatics, including more than 40 papers in top IEEE Transactions. Authored the academic monograph '3D Video Processing'. Filed over 50 patents in China, the US, and PCT, with over 40 authorized. Received the Second Prize for Natural Science by the Ministry of Education (3/5), the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress by the Ministry of Education (8/9), the First Prize for Science and Technology in Zhejiang Province (7/8), the Third Prize for Natural Science in Zhejiang Province (3/5), and the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in Ningbo (3/5). Selected as a Distinguished Young Talent in Scientific and Technological Innovation by the Guangdong Special Support Program, a member of the Youth Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS talent), and a high-level overseas talent (Peacock Talent B Class) and high-level talent in Shenzhen.
Research Experience
Worked as an Assistant Researcher, Associate Researcher, and Researcher at the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences; conducted visiting research at the Department of Computer Science, City University of Hong Kong from 2009 to 2014; joined the School of Electronic and Communication Engineering, Sun Yat-sen University in 2022.
Education
Graduated from the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences with a Ph.D. in Computer Application Technology in 2010.
Background
Research interests include image/video coding and communication, visual perception computing and image quality evaluation, 3D video processing, virtual reality/augmented reality, and artificial intelligence and its visual applications. Mainly engaged in the research of image/video signal processing and communication.
