Research Experience
  • Senior researcher at the German Institute of Employment Research (IAB) and an associate researcher at Weizenbaum Institute. Was an OpenDP fellow at Harvard University during the summer of 2024. Visited Columbia University from September 2023 to August 2024 to collaborate with Prof. Rachel Cummings. Interned at Twitter Cortex in the summer of 2022, leveraging human-in-the-loop research to improve toxicity models. Associated Researcher at the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG) in Berlin from 2020-2021. Conducted a research internship at the Center for Human-Compatible AI at UC Berkeley in the summer of 2019, working on neural network interpretability.

  • Research interests include technical tools for responsible computing, a toolbox of differential privacy for real-world deployment, and supporting evidence-based AI policymaking. Has taught courses in Responsible AI, Law, Ethics & Society at various institutions.

  • Was a social entrepreneur and co-founder of the Israeli Cyber Education Center, leading the development of nationwide educational programs in computing for kids and teens. Co-authored a Computer Network textbook in Hebrew. Previously, was an algorithmic research team leader in cybersecurity.
