Held research positions at INRIA (France), IBM Research, and the National University of Singapore’s School of Computing. Currently working at the Biocomplexity Institute, University of Virginia, focusing on AI applications in complex networks and federated learning.
Education
Earned a Ph.D. with Distinction from the University of New Mexico, advised by Prof. Jared Saia.
Background
Research interests include designing provably secure, scalable, and efficient protocols for distributed systems, with a focus on randomized algorithms, distributed graph algorithms, algorithmic game theory, and biologically inspired algorithms. Currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Biocomplexity Institute, University of Virginia, applying AI to study and understand complex real-world networks spanning social, cyber, and supply chain systems.
Miscellany
Enjoys solving mathematical puzzles, reading science fiction, and traveling. Actively involved in community leadership, serving as President of the CS Graduate Student Association, Vice President of UNM Women in Computing, and Graduate Representative on the UNM CS Advisory Board.
