Academic Achievements
  • Received the Dr.-Klaus-Körper Prize 2024 from GAMM and the PhD award 2024 from EAIP. Published several papers and preprints, including 'Numerical Methods for Kernel Slicing', 'Learning Regularization Functionals for Inverse Problems: A Comparative Study', and more.
Research Experience
  • Currently a postdoc at Université Paris Dauphine - PSL and Inria Mokaplan, working with Antonin Chambolle and Julie Delon. Previously, a postdoc at University College London within the Maths4DL project, under the guidance of Simon Arridge.
Education
  • Completed his PhD in 2023 at TU Berlin, supervised by Gabriele Steidl. Obtained BSc and MSc degrees in Mathematics in 2018 and 2020 from TU Kaiserslautern (renamed to RPTU in 2023). Supported by a scholarship from the Felix Klein Center for Mathematics during BSc and MSc.
Background
  • Research interests include inverse problems, optimal transport, nonlinear optimization, and machine learning with applications in mathematical image processing. The Walter Benjamin Fellowship project is titled 'Variational Gradient Flows on Probability Spaces and Generative Models for Bayesian Inverse Problems in Image Processing'.
Miscellany
  • His brother Christoph is a professor of applied discrete mathematics at the University of Technology Nuremberg.
