Leads the MacArt Reacting Turbulence Lab (MacRTL) in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame.
Background
Research interests include understanding and modeling the complex interactions of turbulent flow with chemical heat release. Develops software for high-performance numerical simulations of complex flows and solver-coupled machine learning (ML), including direct numerical simulation (DNS), large-eddy simulation (LES), and Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes (RANS) simulations both with and without ML models.
