Research Experience
  • Currently a Ph.D. Research Associate at the University of Central Florida in the Synthetic Reality Lab (SREAL) under Dr. Greg Welch and Dr. Gerd Bruder. Worked in conjunction with Dr. Chris North on Immersive Space to Think (IST), which is an immersive analytics approach for assisting cognition and sensemaking.

  • Graduated from CS @ VT and is an alumni member of the 3D Interaction Group directed by Dr. Doug A. Bowman. Was also a member of the Center for Human-Computer Interaction (CHCI) at Virginia Tech.
Background
  • Research interests include designing, implementing, and evaluating interaction techniques in augmented and virtual reality, with a specialty in sensemaking and cognition research. Also conducts research on perception and cognition in virtual environments, information access methods in augmented reality, and identity and representations of self in virtual reality. Champions the importance of transdisciplinary work in human-computer interaction.
