Resume (English only)
Research Experience
  • Leads the Ab Initio Simulations Laboratory at UCLA, conducting research into material behavior.
Background
  • Broadly interested in developing new kinds of mathematical, computational, and data science techniques for the study of material behavior. Particularly focused on first principles (i.e., quantum mechanical) methods, working to extend the scope and capabilities of such methods to enable the characterization and informed discovery of novel materials and structures. The work draws upon a broad spectrum of ideas from applied mathematics, mechanics of materials and structures, condensed matter physics, quantum chemistry, materials science, and scientific computing.
Miscellany
  • Interested individuals are encouraged to send an email to Prof. Banerjee (asbanerjee@ucla.edu) with a CV and a brief description of their background and interests.
