Research Experience
He is the Managing Editor-in-Chief of the Review of Corporate Finance and the Journal of Alternative Investments. He was also a Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Industrial and Business Economics. He served as the Managing Editor-in-Chief of the British Journal of Management and the Journal of Corporate Finance, and is the Founding Editor of Annals of Corporate Governance.
Education
Ph.D., J.D., CFA. Previously, he was the DeSantis Distinguished Professor of Finance and Entrepreneurship at the College of Business, Florida Atlantic University (2018-2025), and Professor and the Ontario Research Chair at the Schulich School of Business, York University, in Toronto, Canada (2007-2018). He has held visiting appointments at Essex Business School, Kobe University, EMLyon, RMIT, and the University of Bergamo, among others.

Research interests include corporate misconduct, fintech, regtech, climate finance, entrepreneurial finance, entrepreneurship and innovation, etc. He is a Professor of Finance and the Steven Shulman '62 Endowed Chair of Digital Innovation at the Stevens Institute of Technology School of Business in Hoboken, New Jersey.
