Academic Achievements
- Received the RGI Innovation Award in 2007 for the project '3D Topography'; won the ISPRS Best Paper Award for Young Authors in 2008; received the ITC Research Award in 2009 for a journal paper on 3D road reconstruction; awarded the ISPRS Giuseppi Inghilleri award in 2016.

- Started his PhD research on 'Acquisition of 3D topography' at ITC in September 2005; held a position of assistant professor at the Department of Earth Observation Science at ITC since September 2009; involved in consultancy projects on 3D reconstruction for the municipality of Rotterdam and Rijkswaterstaat.

- Graduated from Delft University of Technology in 2000 with a degree in Geodetic Engineering; completed his PhD on the Acquisition of 3D Topography at the International Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) in March 2010.
