Research Experience
  • Currently an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at VinUniversity; Visiting Scholar at the Coordinated Science Laboratory at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) since 2023; Associate Director of the VinUni-Illinois Smart Health Center (VISHC) since 2022; Research Scientist at Vingroup Big Data Institute for two years, focusing on Medical Imaging Analysis; Worked on the Air-Cobot project at ICA laboratory, led by AKKA Technologies and AIRBUS group, in 2015; Graduate internship at International Research Institute MICA, Hanoi, Vietnam, and AGIM laboratory, Université Grenoble Alpes, Grenoble, France.

  • Received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Toulouse, France, in 2019; Bachelor's degree from Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

  • Research interests include Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision, especially their applications in Smart Healthcare, e.g., Medical Imaging Diagnosis, AI-based Computer-aided Diagnosis (AI-CAD), AI-assisted Diagnosis and Treatment, AI-assisted Disease Prevention and Risk Monitoring.
